Helium & Eggs was a duet
formed by Juste Akiss (lead vocals, guitar, bass, Bontempi) and Graham
Mushnik (organ, drums, backing vocals) in 2005.
Although their first album was
pretty much pop-oriented, their
EP "Xaa Xa" is an instrumental 6-track piece with low-fi hip-hop beats
and electronic weird sounds (below). While
on tour in
Mexico City, the band recorded a short EP, The Giant Leech, based on
drums and electric guitar. Helium & Eggs then worked in a
trash/absurd poppy energy until july 08.
Juste then played guitar or bass while Graham combined drums and organ,
and the band performed set of original songs, blending 60’s
pop, garage, surf, latin beat and art punk.
Their Album ' Moustache Party', released on Audio tape, is now sold out.
